Senior Systems Accountant

I am currently looking to speak to top quality Systems Accounts who are looking to engage with a new and exciting opportunity.

The Opportunity:

I’m currently working with a manufacturing business, backed by a leading UK Private Equity house. They are looking for a top quality systems account to come and support the FD over a 6 month contract. You will be very hands on - due to the size of the company, the role is very broad and covers most areas within the finance function.
However, crucially, you will be supporting the FD with improving the financial visibility through Microsoft Dynamics AX. You will make a huge impact on the business, delivering improvement propositions to management and acting accordingly. For the right person, this could also become a permanent opportunity.

The Role:

As stated above, the role is very broad and you will be engaged with a lot of the finance function including:

• AP and AR supervision.
• Payroll.
• VAT returns.
• Ensuring accuracy and integrity of the accounting records.
• Preparing weekly flash reports.
• Preparing monthly management accounts and running month-end.
• Supporting the forecasting and planning process.
• Ad hoc analysis work for management.
• Crucially, you will be improving the utilisation of Microsoft Dynamics AX in finance, operations, sales and management.

The Requirements:

• I am looking to speak to candidates who are ACA/ACCA/CIMA (or equivalent) qualified.
• I am also looking to speak to candidates who are part-qualified, should their experience also be sufficient.
• You must have a proven track record of running month-end and preparing management accounts, as a very minimum. Strong accounting skills are obviously necessary.
• Strong excel experience is necessary to perform within this role.
• Microsoft Dynamics AX experience is absolutely essential – candidates without this exposure will not be considered. Extensive Dynamics AX experience will be extremely advantageous.
