Finance Manager

A private-equity backed global software SME is looking to hire an ambitious Finance Manager to support rapid growth. Providing technology and software for large private & public sector clients, this dynamic business is expanding across the UK, USA, Middle East & Australia.

Reporting to the Head of Finance and supporting the CFO, key responsibilities include:

• Production of group management accounts
• Financial analysis to enable commercial decision-making
• Monthly reports for the Board pack within tight deadlines, adding commentary on variances against budgets, including FX
• Manage a team of two staff (studying ACCA)
• Ensure smooth running of finance department including:

• Accurate & timely invoicing of customers
• Prompt collection of UK amounts outstanding
• Accurate and timely processing of purchase invoices and timely payment of properly authorised costs and expenses
• Proper control over cash flow & reconciliation of bank and cash accounts
• Quarterly preparation of VAT

• Responsible for all international transactions: invoicing, credit control, and licence keys
• To collect and manage information for weekly and monthly reporting
• Ad hoc duties

You will be a Qualified Accountant (ACA, ACCA, ACMA) with Advanced Excel skills (significant spreadsheet analysis experience essential). In addition, key experience required includes –

• Producing consolidated management accounts (with FX)
• Excellent numerical & analytical skills
• Previous management experience
• Ability to work to tight deadlines
• Strong written & verbal skills, team player
