Accountant

Due to expansion an experienced practice accountant required to join a small friendly and forward-thinking team within a Chartered Accountancy firm, dealing with your own portfolio of small business clients. (No boring audit work involved) 

As an experienced Accountant you'll become a key member of the team and be expected to:

• Contribute to team meetings and service development
• Have healthy interest in the latest technological advances for providing clients with better information and advice.
•  
• You'll also enjoy dealing with clients and getting involved in daily practical issues to help support their business in a myriad of different ways. 

Technical / practical skills & experience required for this Accountant role include:

• Year end & monthly management accounts preparation from incomplete records and computerised accounts.
• Business & personal tax computations & returns using tax software
• Online filing of HMRC and Companies house 
• VAT, Payroll, Work based pensions, P11d's, CIS processing.
• Some bookeeping reviews/maintenance mainly using Xero (Sage etc)
• Basic tax planning knowledge a distinct advantage. 
• Software systems - Xero, Sage, QBOL, IRIS, Tax calc, Inform Direct
