Financial Controller

The role includes:
- managing and overseeing the Financial Accounts team of 3, covering cash, capital expenditure, tax/vat, year end, statutory reporting, management accounting for various cost centres including accounting for the company's estate schedule costs
- budgeting and forecasting various cost centre including head-office payroll
- management accounting: month end review
- managing and overseeing all International financial reporting, tax/vat and other compliance

What you'll be doing:

* Manage and direct a team of Financial Accountants to support the finance function
* Review all areas covered by the Financial Accountants
* Responsible for all Tax, VAT and indirect tax compliance
* Responsible for review of all VAT control account reconciliations, identifying VAT risks and opportunities and forecasting future VAT liabilities
* Manage all property tax issues; including capital allowances
* Control of the month end timetable, ensuring that all processing and cut-offs are completed on time
* Responsible for preparation of the head-office payroll monthly management accounts schedule and key cost centres including IT and HR
* Responsible for the oversight and review of all other cost centres managed by the Financial Accountants ensuring variance analysis and management accounts commentary are performed in a timely manner
* Manage department budgets and stakeholders
* Identify risks and opportunities
* Responsible for budget and forecast preparation of the head-office payroll, IT and HR cost centres
* Working closely with key stakeholders across the organisation
* Responsible for the management and delivery of the year end accounting and audit
* Liaise with external auditors to ensure year end accounts are in compliant with accounting standard changes

What you'll need:
* Fully Qualified Accountant (ACCA/ CIMA / ACA or equivalent), 3-4+ years post qualified
* Preferred 1-2+ years industry experience
* Advanced in Excel
