My client is a multinational travel tech business with their UK Head Office based in Berkshire. They have created a new role of Finance Manager - Agency Support to report directly to the VP Finance Agency Commerce, this pivotal role will assume overall responsibility for supporting the Agency Commerce Finance team in managing and driving forward reporting efficiencies and revenue generating projects.
This role aims to provide the Agency MD and VP Finance with an overarching view of the Agency Commerce Business by understanding, analyzing and explaining current trends while working on strategic projects that will help shape the future of the business
This role requires close cooperation, with the ability to influence the regional finance teams to ensure a global approach is defined and understood. The Finance Manager will have close interaction across the senior management team and requires an individual who can communicate across all levels of finance and can drive change in multiple areas and formulate strategies to support global targets.
Duties will include:
- Deal builder analysis and recommendations. Preparing and analyzing current Deal Builder usage to formulate a long term strategy on controlling across the business
- Recommending and implementing with the regional teams deal constructs that enable quicker and non manual contracts for clients
- Implementation of standardizing contracts across the Commercial team. Defining with legal 'best in class' approach to agents that enable the business to achieve quick contract turnaround times
- Key lead on working with the regional teams on simplifying and standardizing reporting to the commercial teams
- Working with the Product Pricing team, lead finance contact on how new products are priced, reviewed and implemented. Lead on completing a comprehensive business case to support the pricing and post deal tracking to ensure revenue targets are secured
- Owner of the New Business Implementation (NBI) dashboard, ensuring month results are published, variances explained and understood with commentary to be reviewed as part of the monthly reviews
- Agency Finance lead for CRM reporting and development. Key role in the CRM project to define requirements in the new CRM environment. Working with the CRM team to develop renewal pipeline analysis in conjunction with Deal Builder to map of longer term strategic view of renewal risks and opportunities and potential cost of renewals.
- Development of P&L by country, incorporating fully loaded P&Ls so that investment decisions can be made that grow the base business. Provide recommendations that will grow the top and bottom line
- Agency Finance lead on new the Multi Sourced Content Projects. Critical role in understanding the future trends and structure of the business. This will require close working relationship with Technology, Product and Commerce teams
- Responsible for highlighting key opportunities across the subscriber base. Key finance lead in working with the Agency Strategy team in evaluating potential opportunities and presenting them to key stakeholders
- Proactively thinks about key macro (i. social/political and economic) trends and advising on how this impacts the global business
- Undertake longer term planning and scenario analysis to deliver in-depth understanding of business unit performance, operations, market, customers, competitors and risk. Key contact in the 5 year planning process by driving and challenging regional submissions and recommending areas of growth and opportunity
- Support Strategic Projects on an ad hoc basis. This is pivotal to the role in taking on undefined projects and putting together and implementing a solution to help, guide and influence the decisions on various projects directly affecting the outcomes
The successful candidate should ideally be a qualified accountant (ACA/ACCA/CIMA or overseas equivalent).
- Quickly establish credibility across all finance functions and with senior management immediately, possess excellent analytical skills and business insight to drive effective decision making, deliver high quality work under pressure to meet tight deadlines, first class written and verbal communication skills
