Senior Finance Systems Analyst

My client is looking for a Finance Systems Analyst to join their Finance team. This role reports into the Finance Systems Partnering Manager specifically working on a variety of business / financial systems and projects. As a Finance Systems Analyst you will be responsible for the data integrity and completeness between systems, the development and maintenance of core financial systems and continuously identify opportunities to apply best practice, automation and control.
You will assist the Finance Systems team to provide excellent customer service to the Finance user community with the day-to-day operations of all financial & business applications and reporting.

You will also help to identify and support new projects across the business, collaborating with the Technology team to ensure timely and effective results.

The role requires an experienced Finance Systems Analyst with vision, a passion to succeed and of course the proven ability to deliver solutions in a fast-paced environment.

Responsibilities include but are not limited to:

• Assist on key system reconciliations (Cash, Sales, Stock, P2P) ensuring they are prepared and presented for review to Finance on a timely basis.
• Develop and maintain well-documented solutions to Finance Business Requirements.
• Act in an advisory capacity to the Finance community, 3rd party solution providers, Finance Systems team and other internal IT departments to:
  • Propose tactical solutions and mitigate risks due to known issues
  • Articulate Finance Systems issues and participate in the remediation where appropriate.
  • Provide solution designs, document data mapping, and data validation between systems.
  • Resolve incidents, issues and user requests
  • Drive resolution of exceptional errors.
• Document Change Requests, Interface Updates & Data Mapping changes.
• Provide commentary for major incidents.
• Manage standing data updates.
• Resolve, prioritise and escalate where applicable 1st, 2nd and 3rd line tickets
• Maintain master data.
• Advise on System Integration testing, User Acceptance testing and Training.
• Provide status updates for Finance Systems Implementations.
• Review and approve reconciliations, Investigate variances and provide commentary to the Finance team.
• Approve license allocation, User Profiles & Training material.
• Manage system workflows.
• Review operating processes
• Manage the design and creation of Financial Reports
• Continuously identify opportunities to improve and control processes across the Finance Department to meet the demands of an internationally growing business
• Assist with the interim and year end audits.
