SF Group are currently recruiting for a Senior Management Accountant/Finance Manager for a fast growing service business in Nottingham. This business has witnessed unprecedented growth over the last 5 years which is due to continue both organically and through acquisitions.
As the Senior Management Accountant/Finance Manager, you will be supervising the Management Accounts team, as well as providing assistance to the Financial Controller, and the wider Finance Team.
Key responsibilities:
- Ownership of the Management Accounts team - full supervision responsibilities, lead and prioritise their tasks and ensure all are completed on time, accurately, every time
- Ownership of own divisional P&L and balance sheet
- Work hand-in-hand with the Financial Accountant, Financial Reporting Accountant, and the rest of the Finance Team
- Ensure all operational support and queries are well-managed, prioritised, and challenged where appropriate
- Ownership of all month-end reporting, trading review packs and board report commentaries produced by the Management Accounts team
- Attendance at divisional operations meetings
- Weekly margin reporting and commentary
- Oversee budgets produced by the team, and complete own divisional budget
- Divisional forecasting/monthly re-forecasting of P&Ls, Balance Sheet and Cash Flow
- Develop and improve team processes
- Co-administrator/authorisation for company banking
- Provide assistance with tax packs and statutory audit (interim and year-end) to the team
- Assisting the Financial Controller, Finance team and wider business with other queries, reporting, ad-hoc tasks and projects as required
You will be a qualified accountant (CIMA/ACCA/ACA or equivalent) with previous experience of working in a fast paced environment, ideally with team management/supervision experience. You will be methodical and organised and solutions focused, with the ability to drive continuous process improvements. You will be able to use initiative, and have the confidence to support and challenge senior stakeholders across the business. You will be driven and have a focused attitude to work.
