Resourcery Group have been instructed by a £200m turnover Liverpool-based client to recruit a tenured Operational Finance Business Partner. If you are an exceptional stakeholder manager, robust analyst, strategically and commercially astute and used to working side-by-side with an experienced FD, Regional MDs and Account Managers, read on.

Working as a key support to and deputising for the Finance Director, the Operational Finance Business Partner will be accountable for driving and delivering real change across the region at an operational level. This is not a role for those that wish to sit behind a desk; it is a role for those that wish to get out in the business and deliver real business change. In order to do so you will take responsibility for the co-ordination of management reporting and provide analysis and challenge to all areas across the business. You must proactively evaluate and challenge business performance and cost control, adding value and influencing decision making.

The Operational Finance Business Partner will be responsible for all budgeting and forecasting - delivering the annual budget and quarterly forecasts on time and with maximum possible accuracy. Supporting the management team in the preparation of budgets and quarterly forecasts. Sense checking the inputs before reviewing the outputs with the managers prior to the FD review ahead of submission to Group.

You will also play a role in the delivery of on-going transformation programmes.

So applicants to the position of Operational Finance Business Partner should be:

  • CIMA, ACCA, ACA qualified accountants
  • Be a proven Finance Business Partner and Commercial Analyst
  • Possess excellent and demonstrable non-finance, cross-functional stakeholder management experience
  • Be able to demonstrate delivering, driving and owning change and operational improvements
  • Possess excellent Excel skills
  • SAP and Oracle is desirable but by no means essential.
