Head of Group Reporting

A leading international media group are looking for a Head of Group Reporting to join their growing group function based in Central London.

The Head of Group Reporting is responsible for managing the external financial reporting of the Group and monthly internal reporting under IFRS. The role is also responsible for developing and driving the reporting strategy, to include promoting process improvements to enable focused review and challenges to the businesses. Key responsibilities:

• Lead a team of qualified accountants
• Drive the half-year and year-end reporting processes
• Project manage the half year and year end group reporting processes including taking responsibility for the production of the financial sections of the interim and annual reports, in accordance with IFRS
• Play a key role in implementing the Group's consolidation and reporting system
• Manage the consolidation of the monthly financial information presented to the Board ensuring reporting deadlines are met
• Provide accounting advice on corporate transactions such as acquisitions, disposals and refinancing
• Take responsibility with the team to execute ad hoc financial reporting projects, such as the roll out of a new accounting policy and standards.
• Take responsibility for the operation of controls around Group reporting and financial statement disclosure

The successful candidate will:

• Be a Qualified Accountant (ACA/CA/CIMA/ACCA or Overseas Equivalent)
• Have a strong understanding of IFRS reporting standards
• Be able to work in high based & challenging environment
• Have excellent skills
