Salaly - £40,000 - £42,000

 

Reporting to Senior Commercial Accountant

 

Key Duties of Role

To provide detailed financial reporting and commercial support to the Asset Management teams. This would involve building strong relationships with the Asset Management team to support strategic decision making and drive improvements in reporting and analysis which will in turn drive improvements in management decisions and business results.

 

Key Objectives

 

  • Finance Business Partner to Senior Asset Managers for centres, supporting with the assessment of new deals and commercial decision making.
  • Work cross functionally with operational teams to drive efficient communication of business issues, and co-ordinated production of month end and quarter end numbers and commentary.
  • Prepare quarterly P&L reports and KPI data for centres in line with the Group reporting timetable.
  • Investigate variances to forecast/budget/prior periods and provide financial and operational commentary to the Asset Management and Senior Management teams.
  • Prepare annual budgets and 10-year strategic plan financials in line with Asset Manager's letting strategies.
  • Help drive a change in the positioning of finance from a support to a service function, driving value added insight and analysis to the business.
  • Build and manage relationships with external partners including meeting their reporting requirements.
  • To liaise with external partners and internal Finance and Asset Management teams to ensure the Group's financial reporting requirements and control processes are met.
  • Critically review and assess the existing process environment and help drive streamlining and greater collaborative alignment with operational teams.
  • To assist with queries from internal and external auditors, investor relations or other stakeholders.
  • To maintain balance sheet reconciliations and full back-up for journals.
  • To undertake additional duties as required.
  • To ensure all documentation is efficiently maintained and completed to schedule.
  • To be aware of the Company's Health & Safety Policy and carry out work in accordance with its requirements.

Person Specification

  • Qualified ACA/CIMA or equivalent working within a commercial environment.
  • Excellent interpersonal and communication skills. Ability to communicate with finance and non-finance across all levels of the business, both written and oral.
  • Keen interest in commercial aspects of the business.
  • Ability to work in a highly results oriented and performance driven environment with a focus on excellence.
  • Highly organised with proven ability to meet deadlines.
  • Ambitious, highly driven and motivated.
  • High intellect with first class commercial intuition and a creative approach to problem solving.
  • Commercial sector experience essential.
