A great opportunity to lead a commercial finance team, on an interim basis, in a market leading business as it continues to redefine the relationship between finance and the wider business. This is a business facing role combining highly commercial elements with the opportunity to act as a partner to key operational units and functional teams.
Fundamentally you will be responsible for the provision of financial insight and support to the leadership team of a number of key business areas. You will lead the performance review process, monitoring results against budgets and forecasts, and providing support and challenge to your stakeholders to drive the P&L and support strategic decisions. You will be responsible for managing a small team, building their capability and providing strategic direction. In addition, you will support commercial teams to drive revenue and margin growth and ensure that operational teams manage budgets and costs effectively, taking a proactive approach to delivering efficiencies.
Key to your success in this role will be your strong business partnering skills and ability to build relationships and influence across multiple functions, as well as your commercial flair and ability to bring data and numbers alive for a broad audience. A strong core of FP&A and commercial analysis skills, ideally gained within a Wholesale or FMCG environment, coupled with strong Excel skills is essential. You will have a demonstrable track record of identifying cost savings and delivering margin growth and will be comfortable operating as part of a leadership team.
