We are looking to recruit an ambitious and driven Newly Qualified (CIMA/ACCA) Management Accountant to join our Finance Team on their journey of continuous improvement to a modern, best-in-class finance function. It is an exciting time to join FSB as a key Business Partner, as we continue to progress the largest change programme in our history.
Key Areas of Accountability for the Management Accountant :
- The Management Accountant will assist in the preparation of monthly management accounts including commentary and supporting analysis.
- Monthly Balance Sheet reconciliations ensuring all reconciling items are actioned and resolved effectively.
- Support the annual budgeting and forecasting processes
- Business Partner with Key Stakeholders across FSB.
- Responsibility for Finance Systems
- Cash Flow forecasting
- Support year end statutory accounting & other statutory requirements e.g. VAT, Corporation Support development of Enhanced Financial and KPI reporting/analysis to drive improved Organisation performance
- The Management Accountant will ensure compliance with all financial procedures
- To carry out other project work as required
Qualifications, Experience and Skills
- Newly qualified (CIMA/ACCA)
- Experience in the production of management accounts
- Experience of the production of quarterly and annual VAT and corporation tax return
- Experience of operational software packages. Microsoft GP & IRIS NG would be an advantage but not essential.
- The Management Accountant requires strong analytical skills
- Accuracy and attention to detail
- Strong spreadsheet and IT skills
- Good communication skills with the ability to work both individually and as part of a team
