Assistant Accountant

An established SME manufacturer business are currently looking to recruit an Assistant Accountant. They are searching for are searching for a CIMA/ACCA part-qual or graduate to work as part of their finance team. The business are in a very stable position and they require someone on a permanent basis. The business have a £15 million turnover but are still looking to grow.

In your role as the Assistant Accountant you will take on various duties and responsibilities. Your main responsibilities will include:

*Prepare monthly management accounts
*Prepare monthly management accounts file, including all balance sheet reconciliations
*Other monthly reports and work - journals, capex reporting, sales analyses
*Maintain FA register
*Other ad hoc reporting to factory and other management, both financial and operational
*Prepare monthly forecasts
*Monitoring daily production levels against forecasts and budgets
*Prepare annual budgets with Group Financial Accountant
*Field audit queries during the annual statutory audit
*Oversee payroll

If you have any experience in the Manufacturing industry then please clearly detail this on your CV. Likewise, should you have had any exposure to Microsoft Excel (VBA, SQL, pivot tables/vlookups/macros) then please make sure this is highlighted. The business are offering a full study support package for any candidate who is not yet qualified. The salary will depend on experience and the length of study still remaining.
