Operations Finance Analyst

Based in Luton, Bedfordshire, our client is an established, global company looking for a Finance Analyst to business partner with the Business Operations team.

This job would suit a Graduate-calibre qualified accountant (ACMA, ACCA, ACA) with strong business partnering skills and proven analytical skills as the job will involve helping to drive and develop analysis which can directly influence the business while working across the Finance and Operation team.

This company is an established and well known business and one of the biggest and most prolific in the area. The company is renowned for its staff development, providing great training and progression.

The successful individual will be a Qualified Accountant (ACMA, ACCA or ACA) with a strong academic record will have great Microsoft Excel skills with proven analytical and problem solving skills. Excellent interpersonal skills, with experience of dealing with all levels of management and different departments, are vital as is demonstrated ability to design and develop business performance reports on financial data. Experience working within a finance team in a large, fast paced environment is essential.

Duties will include:

• Production of regular and ad hoc reporting that supports the delivery of the operations plan and helps to drive performance improvement
• Quickly and efficiently turn around new reporting for specific projects or business initiatives that provide insight into the performance of the initiatives and projects
• Provide support to the Finance Business Partner Labour around Weekly/Monthly Labour Reporting and processes
• Development and Ownership of the site level budgeting models for sales and margin.
• Supporting the Operations Finance business partners through the budgeting/forecasting process
• Analysis of site performance, developing reporting that provides insight to the business partners and operations
• Monthly insight into store sales performance, including drivers for variance to budget/plan
• Reviewing processes with the Ops Finance Manager providing potential solutions to streamline or automate the process where possible
• Support the Operations Finance Business Partners with the month end processes
