Parkside Recruitment are currently recruiting for an Assistant Accountant on a permanent basis for an Accountancy Practice based in the Harrow area. You will ideally come from a Practice background and completed your AAT qualification or be studying towards their ACCA or ACA qualification. The position will look to pay between £24,000-£26,000 per annum plus study support.
Your key responsibilities will include:
- Bookkeeping and Payroll
- Assisting with tax computations, both personal and corporate
- Liaising with HMRC
- Preparation of VAT returns
- Preparation and reconciliation of balance sheet accounts
- Preparation of management accounts
- Assisting with the preparation of Statutory Accounts
Person Specification:
- Experience of working within a Practice - a minimum of 12 months is required
- AAT Qualified or actively studying towards your ACCA or ACA Qualification
- Experience of using Sage Line 50, Iris or Quickbooks is desirable but not essential
- Excel - intermediate to advanced level
- Excellent communicator
- Positive and enthusiastic attitude and a desire to learn
- Ability to write correspondence at a high professional level
