TAX MANAGER

My clients is a large independent 3 Director Accountancy firm whose clients span Wirral, Chester and Cheshire and are a mix of Sole Traders, Partnerships, OMB's and High Net Worth Individuals. They pride themselves on being able to offer their clients an excellent compliance and advisory service and have continuous organic growth due to their proactive attitude.

They are currently looking for a Tax Manager to head up an ever expanding team where you will have the opportunity to provide significant input into the development of the department. You will be able to mentor and train junior members of the team to provide a constantly high level of service as well as managing your own portfolio of clients.

Key duties will include -

• Handling a client portfolio covering personal Tax compliance.
• Dealing with ad hoc queries and liaising effectively with clients and HMRC
• Providing taxation planning to Sole Traders, Partners, OMB's and HNWI
• Providing technical support and advice to all areas of the firm
• Providing technical support to staff
• Building and maintain tax relationships with clients and providing a high level of client service
• Reporting to the Directors
• Management of the Tax team, leading, monitoring and developing junior staff members
• Flexibility to meet client/department needs and deadlines
• Completion of annual compliance checks and client administration ensuring that departmental procedures are understood and complied with

You will be -

• ACA, ACCA or CTA qualified
• Have a high level of attention to detail
• Effective communication skills
• Experience of mentoring and leadership
• A strong UK Accountancy Practice background with a Tax focus
• Experience with CCH software is desirable
