Management Accountant

Camfaud Group are seeking a Management Accountant to join their Finance Team based in Epping, Essex. Camfaud is the largest concrete pumping company in the UK, providing equipment to the construction industry as part of a nationwide service. The company is a US owned company having been acquired in 2016.
This is a terrific opportunity for someone who is looking to progress their career with a more senior position. The Company have a hard working, although down to earth working culture and the role will suit an individual who enjoys a balance of management accounting as well as working with non-finance individuals.

Responsibilities

  • Preparation of monthly management accounts in line with the reporting timetable
  • Calculating and processing accruals, prepayments and journal entries
  • Investigating and providing analysis on variances
  • Preparation of accompanying reports and analysis
  • Balance sheet reconciliations and resolving any differences
  • Reconciling sales invoicing in accounting software to despatch software
  • Update and maintenance of fixed asset register
  • Completion of VAT return
  • Providing assistance and information to auditors as required during the annual audit
  • Develop and implement process improvements to ensure financial processes are effective and efficient
  • Good financial understanding & strong analytical skills to be able to identify issues and trends
  • Assessing internal systems, procedures and schedules to suggest improvements which will increase effectiveness and manage control risks
  • CIS
  • Day to day point of contact with the Purchase Ledger and Sales Ledger teams as required
  • Liaising with both local and remote offices to resolves any issues that may occur
  • Suggest improvements to systems and processes as appropriate
  • Assistance with the annual budget process
  • Ad-hoc tasks as directed by the Group Financial Controller or Group Finance Director
  • suggest improvements which will increase effectiveness and efficiencies 
  • Good financial understanding & strong analytical skills to be able to identify issues and trends

Requirements

  • You will be part qualified CIMA/ACCA or equivalent or finalist
  • Proficient use of Microsoft Excel
  • Excellent written and verbal English and communication skills with the ability to comfortably liaise at all levels 
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills
  • Driving licence and car as the office does not have good public transport links
  • Must be an agile learner and dedicated to driving improvements
  • Experience with automating processes and systems improvement would be advantageous
  • Previous experience with Sage would also be advantageous but not a necessity
