Your new company 

JELD-WEN are the UK’s largest manufacturer of exterior and interior doors, windows and stairs. A multi-billion dollar turnover business headquartered in North Carolina whose acquisition-driven growth strategy has seen them expand to over 22 countries across North America, Europe and Australia. Due to their continued expansion an exciting new Internal Audit Manager position has arisen which will be based out of the European HQ in Solihull to cover the European region.

Your new role 

Reporting in to the Global Head of Internal Audit in USA, you will be solely responsible for the delivery of the Internal Audit plan for the business across Europe. In addition to conducting a range of financial, operational and SOx (302 and 404) audits, you will be spearheading initiatives to enhance the controls framework and promote best practices relating to governance across the company. You will be liaising with stakeholders of all levels across Europe, including senior management, to identify key existing and emerging risks to help the Global Head of Internal Audit develop the Annual Audit Plan. This is a critical position for the business to ensure they are able to maintain a strong controls environment across the growing European region. You will have excellent exposure to senior executives in the business, including the Chief Financial Officer, as well as the opportunity to influence the direction of Internal Audit and add real value to a large global organisation.

This role will involve high levels of European travel (in excess of 50%).

What you'll need to succeed 

You will be a qualified accountant (ACA/ACCA), ideally from Big 4 practice with recent and relevant experience in an Internal Audit role from practice and/or industry, as well as a good knowledge of SOx. Recent exposure to commerce and industry is essential.

FULL eligibility to work in the UK is essential. Candidates who require visa sponsorship will not be considered.
