UK Job Opportunity:

Reporting to the UK Financial Controller, we have a vacancy for a Financial Accountant within our UK team based in Irlam, near Manchester.  This is a new position and presents the opportunity for a dynamic individual to bring expertise to our growing business.

Position Summary:

The major responsibilities of the Financial Accountant position within our Manchester team will be:

• Management and delivery of all aspects of the financial month end close process
• Ensure compliance with Sarbanes Oxley and other legal control regulations are met by the Finance Department and across the business.
• Act as point of contact on matters of UK and US GAAP
• Provision of technical expertise with respect to insight and clarity on matters of accounting complexity
• Ensure all accounts are reconciled satisfactorily
• Ensure timely and accurate communications with internal and external auditors and accounting firms

Candidate requirements:

• ACA qualified accountant
• 10 years + post qualification experience in financial accounting
• Significant experience in closing the monthly, quarterly and annual accounts of a large multinational
• Knowledgeable in Sarbanes Oxley and other control environments
• Experienced in drawing up all accounts of the nominal ledger for an entire company
• Experience in ERP systems
• Expert knowledge of UK and US GAAP reporting requirements
• Oracle experience preferred / SAP experience desirable
• High level of proficiency in Excel
• Ability to work as part of a local and global team, with minimal supervision
• Flexible to undertake travel to company locations in Europe from time to time
