Finance Business Partner

Currently working with an exciting innovative organisation in Birmingham. This company are at the forefront of developing products to help the world become greener and energy more sustainable. As a result of a very strong start and continued growth they are looking for a talented Commercial Accountant. This role is recently created and the main purpose of this role will be to focus on the analysis and reporting around margin and new products.

As Commercial Accountant you will be responsible for:

• Preparation of financial appraisals and providing insightful analysis
• Reviewing, monitoring and reporting on new product development and projects
• Reporting on sales analysis and product margins
• Working closely with the MD and FD and assisting in making commercial business decisions
• Analyse and identify opportunities to improve performance and develop clear plans to achieve these
• Produce forecasts to ensure an accurate assessment of business performance
• Evaluate, challenge and build business cases to support new proposals
• Conducting weekly meetings with board members to ensure there is a full understanding of the business's financial state

As Commercial Accountant you will have:

• A relevant accountancy qualification ACA/ACCA/CIMA
• Experience working in a commercially focused finance role
• Strong analytical and financial modelling skills
• The ability to build business cases and present them to the board
• A strong commercial acumen as well as the ability the 'think outside the box'
