Right now there is a buzz about Waltham Forest.  London’s first Borough of Culture and bursting with energy and opportunity, it is a place people want to live, raise a family and start a business.  Since 2010, we have reshaped our Council to deliver savings, improve services and invest in the future. 

Looking ahead, our Creating Futures vision is fundamentally changing the way we work, building relationships, connecting people, harnessing our unique opportunities and the power of new technology to create strong, sustainable and self-reliant communities. 

Financial grip has been one of our core strengths over the last eight years.  Recent independent assessment has strongly endorsed our financial strategy and approach, so now is a great time to come to Waltham Forest and help us enhance our position further. This critical leadership post will help us deliver Creating Futures in Waltham Forest. 

Our Director of Return on Investment is a new post for the Council. One of our driving principles as an authority is to maximise return on investment.  You will ensure that all our activities achieve the outcomes we seek, that we target and manage demand effectively, invest ethically and focus our resources on the things that deliver the biggest impact.

We want people who are at the top of their game, ambitious and aspirational financial leaders with outstanding credentials and a commitment to shaping the best possible future for Waltham Forest and its residents.
