Group Financial Manager

Based in Hemel Hempstead, Hertfordshire, our client is a dynamic, growing company looking for a Group Finance Manager to join their team.

This job would suit a qualified Accountant (ACA, ACCA or ACMA) qualified with experience in a fast paced business, who will be responsible for delivering timely and accurate monthly and statutory reporting, as well as developing and improving financial models.

The successful individual will be a qualified accountant (ACCA, ACA or ACMA) with a strong academic record and the proven ability to manage a team. It is essential the candidate has excellent technical accounting skills with a strong analytical approach and great communication skills. Strong system skills with abilities in modelling using Excel is essential and experience of producing statutory accounts and relevant disclosures. You will need to have the ability to meet deadlines and think laterally and problem solve.

Duties will include:

• Balance sheet and P&L month end reconciliation/substantiation for the group.
• Reviewing statutory accounts and managing the annual external audit process.
• Supporting the regulatory reporting and funding requirements of the group.
• Supporting the Financial Controller with dividend process, managing intercompany balances, ad-hoc queries and information requests from parent company.
• Developing and improving cash flow forecast models.
• Intercompany simplification project to reduce intercompany relationships and implement and automatic settlement process.
• Ad hoc M&A opportunities, creating valuation models, and producing due diligence support.
• Assisting with management of staff within the team including coaching, development and appraisals.
• Assisting with setting and driving target and objectives through the team.
• Ad-hoc team projects and deliverables.
