Our client is a well know education provider in the area, they're looking for a Finance Manager to join their team on a fixed term basis of 6 months initially, with possibly longer term prospects throughout. Some limited travel around the Bristol area and occasionally to London may be required.

Description

Purpose of the Role:

• Provide operational financial leadership and management for a number of academies (based in the Bristol area).
• Line manage Finance staff within the academies and support their development.

Key responsibilities:

• Delivering effective financial operations across departments, including all areas of income and expenditure.

• Support the Head of Financial Planning and Analysis in the management of all financial operations within assigned academies.

• Support stakeholders with the financial management of their departments.

• Attend external meetings as required to present financial information, including financial budgets and financial performance information.

Profile

• Good academic background
• ACA, ACCA, CIMA or similar financial qualification or equivalent experience
• Experience of financial planning and management
• Significant experience of the effective use of an accounting package
• Experience of supervising and coaching a team of staff
• Experience working in the education sector, with experience of funding would be beneficial.

Job Offer

• Basic salary of £35,000-£40,000
• Good package including holiday, pension, discount schemes.
• 6 month contract initially
