Accounts / VAT Assistant

Hays are currently recruiting for an a successful organisation based in Cambridge. They are looking for an Accounts Assistant to join them on a temporary basis ideally for up to 3 months.

Your new role
As an Accounts / VAT Assistant you will be working in finance team and responsible for c checking the correct VAT code has been used, reviewing foreign currency transactions across 10 foreign VAT registrations, checking the transaction has been correctly analysed as input or output for VAT reporting, posting journals to write off disbursements from the balance sheet to the purchase ledger and a dhoc assistance with purchase ledger.

What you'll need to succeed
Previous relevant experience is crucial alongside a good knowledge of using finance packages and an intermediate excel user to enable you to hit the ground running. This organisation has multiple entities therefore the individual needs to be flexible, able to use their own initiative and work under pressure in a fast paced open plan team. Whilst excellent attention to detail, self-motivation and great communication is the key to your success
