Commercial Accountant

Our client is looking to recruit a Part Qualified Accountant to join the Commercial Finance team. This is a diverse role that will encompass both monthly analysis and reporting and ad hoc commercial analysis, giving the successful candidate excellent experience as they progress beyond full qualification. You will be responsible for the production of information for the monthly board pack and weekly flash results including: sales forecasts; analysing the P&L; investigating variances and producing KPI’s. You will analyse operational performance across the business, and work closely with operations managers providing financial information to non-finance professionals and responding quickly to queries. You will support the budgeting process and play a key role in cashflow forecasting.

The ideal candidate will be part qualified and actively studying towards a formal qualification. Your experience to date should include management reporting and financial analysis. Advanced Excel skills will be essential for success in this role, with the proven ability to summarise large quantities of data into a format that can be understood by finance and the broader business. You should be a strong team player and a confident communicator capable of working with operations and non-finance.
