We are currently recruiting a FP & A Analyst on a permanent basis to join our team in London, Chiswick Park. The successful candidate will be reporting to the FP & A Manager and will primarily be responsible for managing, reconciling and analysing accurately the revenue, cost of sales and/or general overheads of Northern Europe and preparing various forecasts (monthly rolling forecast, budget, multi-year plan).
Key Responsibilities
Month-end
- Review accuracy of the SUN data compared to various sources (ie. payroll posted in SUN with payroll system, revenue recognized in SUN with billing system etc.)
- Ensure all deferred revenues are accounted for correctly
- Validate allocation of revenue and cost of sales per contract type as per company’s chart of account
- Allocate all G&A and contractual cost of sales as per budget assumption and against correct client code
- Follow-up on recharges on inter-regional projects
- Confirm that all costs have been received and accrue if necessary
- Prepare accruals and liaise with accounting teams
- Liaise with business owners to validate monthly headcount and actuals
- Validate FX Impact versus budget, prior year, forecast etc.
Reporting
- Prepare monthly and YTD performance and detailed variance analysis versus Budget, Prior Year, Forecast etc.
- Prepare monthly management review (MMR) report and quarterly business review (QBR) report
- Trend analysis and identification of one-off items
Budgeting and forecasting
- Create / maintain and enhance forecasting tools for GP and/or G&A and HC
- Collate information and assumptions from business owners
- Upload budget and forecast in reporting system
- Variance analysis and reporting
- Support the business in various projects and ad-hoc analysis
Required Skills and Knowledge
- Advanced modelling and excel skills (Pivot, formulas, VBA is a plus)
- Demonstrates creative thinking and initiative
- Ability to juggle many competing tasks and projects simultaneously
Required Work Experience & Qualification
- Previous experience in working with high volumes and complex data
- Proven experience in FP&A or financial analysis
- Experience of working in a fast paced environment
- Demonstrate good accounting knowledge in particular P&L and multiple currency management
- A bachelor's degree in finance, accounting, economics or a related field
- Part qualified CIMA or MBA in Finance is preferred but not a must
