Project Accountant

Elevation Recruitment Group are currently recruiting for a successful business in Chesterfield that boasts global operations. There has been some recent changes to the finance structure and as a result, they are currently looking for a Project Accountant to join the team.

Reporting straight to the CFO, this position has been created to oversee some new international contracts. The role will be responsible for producing financial information and forecasts for a number of long term projects. There will be the chance to get involved with various projects which will keep the role both varied and challenging.

Duties will include:-

* Working with the operational team to understand variances and provide analysis
* Provide weekly/monthly commentary
* Production of monthly management accounts for the various contracts
* Lead in the calculation of cost of sales & margins
* Prepare weekly Profit and Loss report
* Support in overhead costs preparation and reports
* Management of adhoc Project costs
* Drive the importance of costing across the business to assist managers in making key strategic decisions
* Work alongside Central Finance Business Partners
* The role will also include ocassional travel overseas

Elevation Accountancy & Finance would be keen to speak with candidates with the following skills and experiences:

* CIMA/ACA/ACCA qualified or QBE will also be considered
* Excellent oral and written communication skills with a keen commercial and business acumen with the ability to persuade at all levels of management
* Experience in management accounting and costing
* Highly numerate
* Dynamic and enthusiastic in approach
