Resourcery Group are supporting a leading sub-£25m t/o manufacturing subsidiary of a global, listed Group in recruiting a tenured Commercial & Cost Analyst.
Based near Blackburn, our client is part of a €3bn t/o global giant, listed on a European bourse. As Commercial Cost Analyst you will work very closely with several senior stakeholders across the business including the Finance Director, Sales Director and Supply Chain Director influencing top and bottom line growth which is forecast to exceed 20% over the next 3 years. Cash rich, profitable and growing, this is a role that can act as a career fast-track affording the successful candidate huge degrees of autonomy in the role and exposure to the most senior stakeholders in the UK. Working across Sales, Purchasing, Finance and Operations you will be responsible for understanding the cost and margin implications for the site and measuring operational performance. You will support the monthly S&OP processes and take a lead on demand forecasting.
The crux of the role is to improve the reliability, provenance and accuracy of the business systems master pricing and costing data. You will be responsible for carrying out monthly manufacturing reviews comparing actual and master data providing in depth cost variance analysis. The role requires you to be out in the business operationally comparing actual machinery run speeds and cost information to that in the costing system, reconciling differences and communicating these to the sales teams in support of sales quotes and price adjustments. You will assist with the annual review of all costing to support the budget process compiling the manufacturing cost model. You will also work with New Product Development providing costing for new product launches and work closely with production as part of a wider cost reduction programme understanding the impact on BOMs. From sales price estimates to detail volume mix analysis for 1000 SKUs this role would suit an operationally focused Commercial Costing Analyst.
