My client is a highly successful and expanding organisation operating within the business services sector. They are seeking to appoint an experienced individual to this key position which coordinates the payroll function for all of the operating functions of the business. These various functions report all the monthly payroll data back to Head Office where this position is responsible for ensuring all data is correctly reported and uploaded into their proprietary software. Therefore whilst not responsible for the calculations themselves you will need to have a detailed knowledge and understanding of all statutory payroll computations, coding, payments and recalls and P45s and P60s in order to validate the incoming data. You will also be responsible for answering all payroll queries from the employees of this business. In addition to these duties you will also be responsible for managing the office administrator and assisting and covering for this role during periods of absence.
The environment is small and very friendly and would suit an individual with a very hands-on approach who is comfortable working on their own initiative. It is key that you are a confident person with excellent communication skills and have prior experience of working with colleagues in remote situations.
You will have a stable and progressive career to date, strong IT skills and demonstrate proficiency with Microsoft Excel.
