Financial Accountant

Axon Moore are exclusively recruiting a Financial Accountant role for a fast-growing private equity backed business based in Chester. This is a newly created role following a recent acquisition, and is ideal for an ambitious CIMA/ACCA studier or somebody who has recently qualified. The role is broad and covers everything from transactional accounts duties through to preparing all associated month end financial reporting. In brief, your role covers the following;

• Assisting with producing the month end financial reports issued to the Board
• Assisting with production of the year end statutory accounts (including consolidation) compliant with IFRS
• Assisting with the conversion of the year end acquisition statutory accounts to IFRS
• Acquisition accounting support and follow up
• Working with the existing team to integrate the accounting systems of new business segments into the back office software and the accounting software
• General acquisition integration support e.g. reviewing processes, transferring systems, general administration.
• Supporting external audit requirements
• Working with management to specify the accounting requirements of any new developments and managing the go live process and subsequent testing requirements
• Improving processes across the company to increase efficiency
• Liaising with other departments and supporting ad-hoc requests
• Working with the existing team to support internal audit requirements
• Liaising with colleagues at the acquisition sites as part of the integration process
