Financial Accountant

A well-established aviation company based near Heathrow Airport are in need of a qualified Financial Accountant to join the team.

Reporting to the Deputy Finance Manager you will be responsible for preparing and analysing financial reports and records, preparing and submitting tax documents and creating effective financial practices and procedures. This is a newly created position due to growth and restructuring.

The key responsibilities of the role are:

• Preparation of year end accounts (financial statements and notes) in accordance with IFRS for annual filings
• Liaising with the external and internal auditors
• Preparing tax returns
• Preparing internal reports related to consolidated financial reporting
• Review of internal financial systems and controls
• Assist in the month-end process
• Working closely with key members of the organisation
• Assisting in the budgeting and forecasting

You will need to be a qualified accountant with at least 5 years experience. You will also need advanced Excel skills.

The accounting system is Microsoft Dynamics Navision.

You will have an excellent understanding of accounting principles with sound financial and business acumen. You will have good analytical skills and a keen eye for detail, also good organisational skills and strong commitment and self-motivation. You will work well under pressure and be used to meeting tight deadlines

The salary being offered for this role is £45,000, along with a discretionary bonus of up to 25%, 25 days holiday plus 8 bank holidays.

The working hours are 9 - 5 Monday to Friday.
