Management Accountant

Brewster Pratap are delighted to be working exclusively with a £70m turnover manufacturing company in Barnsley who have a newly created vacancy for a Management Accountant. The business prides itself in constant innovation and has a passion for customer service

The Job

This job will report to the Finance Manager and will work as part of a cross-disciplinary team and is central to the effective operation of the company. The role helps to improve business performance by analysing information for management to make informed decisions to contribute to the effective operation of the business

Accurate and timely provision and communication of routine weekly and monthly management information

Production of detailed Gross Margin information, variance analysis and reporting

Assist with detailed budgeting and forecasting and factory overhead costs

Assist with product costing and commercial analysis

Cost improvement projects and ad hoc analytical projects

Maintenance of strong working relationships across departments

The Person

Qualified or qualified by experience Accountant with sound financial and commercial acumen and strong interpersonal skills. You will need advanced Excel skills and be able to produce high quality models to enhance business performance. You will need previous management accounting skills and have an understanding of costing in a manufacturing environment
