Ignata Finance are proud to be partnering Becton, Dickinson and Company (BD) in the hiring of a Senior Finance Analyst who will be based in their EMEA HQ in Crawley, West Sussex.
BD is a US listed, global medical technology company with revenues in excess of £10 billion. They are the market leader in the provision of innovative solutions that help advance medical research and genomics, enhance the diagnosis of infectious disease and cancer, improve medication management, promote infection prevention, equip surgical and interventional procedures and support the management of diabetes. Having recently completed the complimentary acquisition of CR Bard, the senior management team are now looking to further invest in and develop a high quality EMEA function from their Crawley base.
As a result, we are looking for an exceptional candidate to join the finance team in this Senior Finance Analyst post. Please note, this appointment will be made with succession planning very much in mind. The successful candidate can expect career development and progression options potentially both on a local and international level. We are looking for candidates with the potential, calibre and determination to step up quickly; an outline of your responsibilities can be found below but you can expect these to increase and broaden in line with your own progression.
Key responsibilities:
- Ensure the divisional accounts are maintained, controlled and reported accurately and efficiently with cost effective processes throughout
- Be a trusted business partner and work closely with leadership team and sales management to deliver insightful analytics
- Provide regular reports and commercial input into sales analyses, pricing reviews, customer agreements, contracts, tenders and other commercial activities
- Be responsible for the calculation of judgemental accruals and reserves and the monthly reviews of the balance sheet
- Support management in the completion of the budget submissions with supporting analytics
- Lead monthly sales & management P&Ls reviews vs budget & forecast to provide financial insight to business performance
- Manage and motivate junior analysts responsible for the completion of the monthly accounts, finance clerks responsible for AR and AP
We are looking for someone who is capable of liaising frequently with multiple stakeholders across the business and who will be the point of contact for a range of accounting and commercial issues. You will need to be able to effectively prioritise a wide range of activities and be someone who more junior members of staff will look to for guidance and motivation.
Candidate profile:
- Fully qualified accountant ACA/ACCA/CIMA or equivalent
- Strong academic profile, 2.1 university degree or better
- Demonstrable career progression to date
- Ability to marry core accounting skills with commercial and business partnering activities.
- Confident in communicating and representing themselves to management
- Technically able with a strong work ethic and a determination to succeed in their career
