Newly created Financial Accountant role with a well-known and highly regarded Manchester based International Wholesaler. Reporting to the Finance Director, your role will cover the following;
- Responsible for all day to day transactional processing within Great Plains system in an accurate and timely manner.
- Responsible for accurate set-up of all Vendors, and Customers in Great Plains.
- Ensure timely payment of all purchases and expenses including validation checks that these have been authorised in line with company policies.
- Responsible for month end procedures including balance sheet control account reconciliations, accruals and prepayments and bank reconciliations.
- Ensure timely processing of VAT returns and submission to HMRC.
- Preparation of monthly financial reports including statutory reports and management accounts (P&L, balance sheet, cashflow).
- Responsible for the monthly forecasting process and inclusion in management accounts.
- Work with the Finance Team to ensure timely recharge and payment of shared expenses.
- Maintenance of fixed asset register and appropriate depreciation policies.
- Monitor USD and GBP cash balances and arrange transfer of funds as appropriate, including monitoring of fx rates and hedging requirements.
- Work with appointed auditors to review and sign-off annual accounts.
- Ensure the timely and accurate submission of corporation tax submissions to HMRC.
- Assist the Finance Director with annual budgeting process.
- Responsible for creation of all revenue invoices, checks to ensure ERP and Financial systems align and chasing of outstanding debtors.
- Manage the rebate programs, ensuring timely receipt of statements and contract renewals.
