We are delighted to be able to support our exclusive Client, a Global Consultancy, with their search for a Pension Fund Accountant to work as part of their Wealth & Investment division. This post will be based at our Client's prestigious offices in Manchester City Centre!!

You will be part of a team of 6. The company have Platinum Accreditation with ACCAwhich offers opportunity to progress quicker with the ACCA Qualification as relevant work experience will be signed off immediately. This business also offer lots of scope for career progression and are heavily involved in charitable causes.

Duties will include:

- Preparation of accounts for a portfolio of Pension Schemes
- Project managing annual pension scheme accounts process from planning, preparation & peer review through to audit & completion
- Communicating & effectively building relationships with Internal Stakeholders, Auditors, Clients & other Scheme Advisors
- Sending Audit file to Auditors & dealing with any Audit & Client queries
- Drafting of documents & annual reports
- Sending out requests to Investment Managers
- Becoming a Subject Matter Expert & training junior members of staff
- Being accountable for the standard & quality of your own work as well as that undertaken by other team members
- Preparation of VAT Returns
- Completing all associated routine tasks including accurate time recording, use of standard templates, peer review, e-filing & WIP reporting.

Experience / Qualifications required:

- Experience of Pension Fund Accounting would be absolutely ideal but not essential.
- AAT or ACCA Part or Fully Qualified with a few years' experience of preparing accounts. Candidates with an Accountancy Degree will also be considered as will "Qualified by Experience" candidates. The role is more Financial Accounting biased so Financial Accounting / Statutory Accounting experience would be preferred.
- Good time management & prioritisation skills as you will work to tight deadlines.
- Good Excel skills including vlookups
- Experience of Journals, Accruals & Prepayments
- Experience of bank reconciliations would be an advantage
- Experience of assisting Auditors would be a bonus
- Caseware Accounting system knowledge would be a plus

This role is paying a salary of £25,000 - £32,000 + Study Support + £1,000 Bonus based on Company & Individual performance + fantastic Pension scheme (Employer Contribution will be 3 x Employee Contribution up to 12%) + Share Plan + 25 days holiday (option to buy & sell holiday) + Life Assurance.
