Management Accountant

Management Accountant opportunity within a growing Private Equity backed FMCG business offering progression to Financial Controller within 2-3 years.

THE COMPANY 

This established FMCG business has grown significantly following Private Equity investment, developing new product ranges and winning new contracts with major multiple retail groups nationwide. The business is now poised for further expansion and as a result needs to appoint an experienced Accountant into a commercially focused Management Accountant role.

THE OPPORTUNITY

Joining the business as Management Accountant you will support the Financial Controller with the day to day running and management of the Finance Department and provide detailed management accounts, commentary and business analysis to enable accurate revenue forecasting and commercial decision making. You can expect to develop your staff management skills and experience before progressing to Financial Controller as the business continues to expand.

As Management Accountant your responsibilities will include:

- Preparing detailed Monthly Management Accounts including fully reconciled balance sheet, profit & loss accounts, cash flow forecasts and various analysis reports (sales, margin, debtors)

- Providing detailed Variance Analysis Commentaries

- Assisting with Budgeting processes and producing Commercial information

- Processing month end journals, reviewing capital expenditure and stock

- Supervising Ledger / Accounts staff

This is a superb opportunity for a ACA / ACCA / CIMA Finalist or Fully Qualified Accountant seeking a rewarding, challenging role offering progression to Financial Controller.

THE PERSON

You will be a Management Accountant able to demonstrate:

- ACA / ACCA / CIMA Qualified or at least Finalist level

- Experience of Management Accounting and Analysis work

- Experience of performing a 'hands on' role within an SME business

- A strong desire to progress to Financial Controller within a fast-moving environment
