Month end is looming…
The weather forecast for next week and the week after is in the high 20s and low 30s and you're going to be stuck in the office. Helpless. Or are you?

Yes, this is finance. Yes you'll have deliverables. No, you won't be chained to your desk!

You'll have the autonomy to work how you work best, when you work best. This is an outcomes focused business not one that measures your success or ambition by the number of hours spent at your desk.

You'll need to build relationships effectively as you'll be partnering with gritty operations managers one minute and the UK CFO and the Exec team another. You will be delivering their business planning, budgeting and forecasting processes so you'll be seen as a vital, integral part of their business. Whilst you're there to support them, you won't have the wool pulled over your eyes and you'll need to challenge effectively - this is a real stakeholder management role: you'll be face-to-face and tail-to-tail in a multi £bn environment.

You'll do this role for 2-3 years and have developed the relationships to such an extent you'll deliver more value in a senior operational finance role - you'll most likely be poached by one of your stakeholders! This role however will give you some real, tangible achievements for the CV and some real, tangible experience that will grow you and your commerciality.

This is right for you if you're CIMA or ACA qualified as long as you have strong commercial acumen and can build effective and enduring relationships.
