Robertson Bell Finance are working closely with a leading, growing property developer in Central London to recruit an experienced Capital Finance Analyst. As the organisation recently added a large number of properties to its register, the vacancy comes with the need to tackle new challenges in a fresh, dynamic team, and take responsibility for a fixed asset register with a massive value.
Coming with an excellent benefits package, the role joins a rapidly growing organisation in a challenging period and allows the successful candidate to play an integral part in implementing new policies and procedures. Reporting to the Capital Finance Manager, the key responsibilities of the Capital Finance Analyst are to:
*Maintain the fixed asset registers for both housing and non-housing entities
*Maintain spreadsheets for sales income & associated costs, as well as grants income
*Employ an expert, technical approach to analysing data in order to find and resolve discrepancies
*Analyse the capital spend of the organisation's various development schemes, re-evaluating at all stages of development
*Produce management accounts, based on the output of the Finance Assistant
*Break down costs relating to the housing assets into various components, making sure information is reconciled and up to date on the database
*Run monthly commentaries to assist with the organisation's decision-making process
*Meet regularly with budget holders to relay key information, thereby assisting with the organisation's strategic direction
*Be an expert financial resource, able to report on key information and respond to queries relating to the organisation's asset base.
As this role covers a niche area in housing finance, a background in fixed assets in the housing sector is highly preferential, and candidates with this experience are strongly encouraged to apply. The key characteristics required for the role are enthusiasm, a keenness to learn, and challenge-seeking.
Advanced Excel skills are essential to be able to perform high level analysis, interpretation and manipulation on large sets of data. The ideal candidate will be a Part Qualified or Qualified accountant (CCAB or CIMA), with the ambition and drive to grow quickly in their finance career. Study support is available in the role; the organisation has an internal drive to upskill and develop staff.
Due to the excellent opportunity represented by this role, a high calibre of applicants is expected, and as such, the closing date may be brought forward. Please apply now to avoid disappointment.
