Our Client is a large and growing property management company with a wide range of properties as part of their portfolio. They currently manage a mixed portfolio of residential properties to include some high-end blocks to properties on the outskirts of London.
The Role: will include but is not limited to:
- Managing and leading the client accounting/service charge accounting team.
- Overseeing the preparation of annual service charge accounts.
- Approving annual service charge budgets.
- Being responsible for on boarding new clients and ensuring all details are on the property management system.
- Responsible for complaints and complex queries.
- Assisting with the oversight of the accounts payable and credit control function.
- Ensuring year-end service charge accounts are submitted on time.
- Reconciling and reporting payments to HMRC.
The Person MUST possess at 4/5 years relevant client/service charge accounting experience, ideally within a residential block management firm. Strong people management and leadership skills are essential to enable the function to run smoothly. The successful candidate will be able to demonstrate excellent spoken and written communication skills, be able to build strong working relationships with a wide range of people and have an excellent knowledge of the property market. Although this is mainly an oversight role, applicants may occasionally need to produce the accounts themselves. This is a good opportunity for someone who thrives in a busy environment.
