This is a fantastic opportunity for someone to be the lead of a very high profile merger between two very well-known business.
The integration analyst lead is responsible for setting up, reporting, analysis and forecasting of the integration cost and supporting the Integration Directors and Steering Committee in the delivery of the expected staff cost synergies and restructuring costs.
The role should provide direct challenge to workstream leaders on their restructuring plans & delivery and provide a degree of autonomy and gravitas is important. The individual in the role needs to work closely with all workstreams to understand how and when they expect the integration
to be delivered and centrally report on overall synergy expectations. In addition, provide an understanding of the new operational cost base working closely with the relevant stakeholders including Finance, HR, and the Divisions to ensure a robust base plan is produced given knowledge of the integration implementation. Understanding new operational staff costs expected as a result of the integration.
Skills & Accountabilities:
- Lead design of restructure data collection and mapping process to ensure scope is clearly defined and correct data is collected and lessons learnt from past integration are learnt.
- Business understanding to ensure workstreams develop forecasts which are directly related to their workplans (and to help them do so, when required).
- Analytical skills to collate and verify HR and financial information from the workstreams, and project impact on corporate financials.
- Financial / synergy tracking experience to develop and support the process to monitor, control and track synergies
- Finance function experience to enable reconciliation of projected synergies to HR data and actual results in finance systems
- Finance and HR systems user capability to develop approach to embed integration cost and synergy tracking efficiently into finance processes and systems
Candidate background:
- Accounting background ideally qualified ACA/ACCA/CIMA
- Strong financial modelling skills
- Experience dealing with large volumes of data
- Ideally experience working in a change/ transformation/ restructure
- Experience working with or analysis people costs
