Cost Accountant / Inventory Specialist

Exciting opportunity to join a rapidly expanding FMCG business in West London.

Job tasks and responsibilities:

• Strong understanding of Inventory Processes and Controls
• Ability to identify process issues, communicate to Finance teams as well as suggest recommendations for improvements
• Focus on Cost / Management accounting providing in-sight to various operational teams
• Month end reconciliation of Inventory Accounts
• Month end review of Work in Progress alongside Billing Team to identify billing risks
• Gain an understanding of Work in Progress processes including:
  •   Work order bookings
  •   Reconciliation of Job Costs
  •    Invoicing and management of WIP accounts
• Other balance sheet reviews as required
• Assisting in Monthly Forecasts and Business Cases
• Business partnering with Operations
• Participating and assisting in month end dashboard reporting
• General accounting and administrative duties
• Some assistance with month-end processes as required. 
   

Skills and experience:

To be successful in this role you will need to prove skills and abilities in line with below:

• Previous inventory experience in a mid to larger size company is preferred with a good knowledge of inventory controls.
• Part qualified or Qualified Accountant
• Strong excel and system skills are essential
• A minimum of 3 years relevant experience in a similar commercial environment 
• Ability to work constructively as part of a team and fast-paced environment
