Our client, a successful manufacturing company, part of a major US group is seeking an ambitious qualified accountant as Finance Manager to join its team.

Reporting to the Financial Controller as a key member of the Finance Department, the Accountant will be responsible for several key areas of the finance function, including the preparation of management accounts and other financial information, data, and analysis for internal and external submission, and the maintenance of internal accounting systems and processes

Key Responsibilities & Activities
*Maintenance of the General Ledger including General Ledger journal preparation and entry
*Preparation of management accounts for review by Financial Controller including analysis of cost of sales, margins and stock valuations.
*Control account reconciliations and uploading to group shared platform
*Preparation and calculation of Group recharge invoices
*Support Financial Controller in preparation of budgets and forecasts for Group Submission
*Maintenance of fixed assets register and depreciation calculations
*Weekly KPI's
*Preparation of quarterly VAT returns
*Preparation of Year End accounts for audit
*Support internal and external audits as required (including SOX)
*Tax analysis
*Forecasts
*Weekly Forecasts
*Operational reporting including Inventory reporting
*Costing analysis
*Capex submissions


Person Specification

*Candidates should be qualified CIMA/ACA/ACCA,with strong commercial awareness and understanding of UK GAAP accounting principles.
*The ability to speak German would be an advantage.
* 10 years experience in Financial Accounting roles.
*Ability to work under pressure and to tight deadlines
