Robertson Bell Finance are proud to be working in partnership with Tower Hamlets Homes, an award winning ALMO (Arm's Length Management Organisation) to recruit two Assistant Management Accountants. Based near Canary Wharf, Tower Hamlets Homes provides housing services to the local community of Tower Hamlets in London's East End. The 21,000 homes they manage comprise of both leasehold and tenanted residences and represent roughly 20% of all homes in the borough. As such, the organisation has a powerful local presence, and their strong efforts over the last ten years have resulted in a significant increase in overall resident satisfaction.

The key responsibilities of the Assistant Management Accountants, which report to the Management Accountants, are to:
*To support the work of the Management Accountant in the provision of excellent financial services that enhances the service delivery in Tower Hamlets Homes.
*Work with service managers and budget holders to understand their financial needs, business functions and financial risks, thereby contributing to the annual budget setting process
*Support the management accountants, Finance Manager and Head of Finance by preparing journals and providing variance analyses
*Assist in the production of spreadsheets used to interpret financial data
*Prepare key financial information to be presented by the management accountants to budget holders and senior management
*Resolve queries, and investigate discrepancies in the general ledger
*Perform ad hoc administrative tasks and act as an assistant to the management accountants

The ideal candidate will have either completed an AAT qualification or be actively studying towards a recognised accountancy qualification (CCAB or CIMA) and have experience of working within a Finance team. A demonstrative love for data analysis and the technical side of finance will be also be required.
