Parkside are currently assisting a Technology Company based in Berkshire who are recruiting for a Shared Service Accountant on a contractual basis to support the team during a busy time. In order to apply you will be a Part Qualified Accountant with extensive SAP and intercompany accounting experience and have worked within a shared service environment previously.

Reporting to the Shared Service Business Controller, your key responsibilities will include:

  • Working with all shared service groups & outsource providers to manage the timely & accurate billing of all shared services which is supported by the contractual agreements & ensure that revenue is correctly accounted for in SAP
  • Liaising with the credit department to ensure all customer queries related to Shared Service Billing are resolved
  • Providing shared service management a detailed monthly revenue analysis, showing revenue performance against budget and prior period
  • Preparation of the monthly intercompany recharge and reconciliation, taking transfer pricing into account.
  • Ad hoc performance reporting, volume metrics etc to support the shared service groups in making management & operational decisions
  • Providing support and assistance across the shared service team

Person Specification:

  • Part Qualified Accountant - ACCA, CIMA or ACA
  • Experience of working within a shared service centre environment is essential
  • SAP experience is essential
  • SAP BPC is preferred but not essential
  • Process improvement experience is preferred but not essential
  • Excellent client relationship management and influencing skills
  • Experience of supporting the business decision making process, ideally in collaboration with Shared Service organisations for provision of basic financial accounting data.
  • Demonstrable ability to identify and analyse key business drivers
  • Strong analytical skills
  • Strong people communication skills
