Internal Finance Manager

Internal Finance Manager - Practice - £55,000 - £60,000

Morgan McKinley are assisting a mid size Accountancy Practice who are seeking a Finance Manager to take ownership and responsibility for the Finance department, including the production of management accounts.

The Firm have a very stable environment, with the role arising due to the candidate retiring after more than 20 years in the post.

Responsibilities:

• Supervise, train and develop the finance team
• Preparing and reviewing Management Account Packs
• Preparing periodic financial statements, including P&L accounts, budgets, cash flow, variance analysis and commentaries
• Preparation of monthly balance sheet reconciliations, year end Statutory Audit
• Accurate and timely delivery of all management information within agreed schedule
• Work with various teams in order to develop and improve financial systems
• Manage, run and reconcile the firm's Client Bank Accounts
• Book-keeping and VAT returns for the firm and two small Ltd companies
• Knowledge of LLP Accounts and WIP is advantageous
• Invoice queries, debt collection and cost management, assisting with billing, staff holidays, payroll and auto-enrolment

Essential Requirements:

• Qualified Accountant with a recognised professional accounting qualification (ACA/CIMA/ACCA) or QBE
• Experience within a Practice or Law Firm is essential
• Good IT skills and sound knowledge of Excel
• Strong analytical skills with good attention to detail
