Management Accountant

A global health and insurance business is looking to recruit an ACA/ACCA/CIMA qualified management accountant to join it finance team.

The role provides a finance business partnering service. This comprises capabilities in planning, forecasting, reporting and general financial guidance to support strategic, tactical and operational decisions. Additionally the role provides core reporting and reconciliation responsibilities including monthly systems reporting, Balance Sheet and intercompany reconciliations and VAT analysis. Main duties include:

Producing and reporting timely, accurate monthly management accounts and reporting

Preparation of balance sheet reconciliations, recharges and other accounting deliverables on a monthly basis

Manage intercompany relationships and prepare quarterly VAT returns. Coordinate with other finance teams in these processes.

Preparation of quarterly, half year and full year reporting information for Group teams

Assist function heads and cost centre managers to understand the monthly results, track year-to-date results, forecast end of year performance and undertake the annual business planning cycle.

Provide analysis & challenge to cost centre managers to support resource allocation decisions. Identify and quantify opportunities for cost savings. Help drive forward thinking and early identification of issues and decisions.

Provide ad-hoc support and tailored analysis to team members, function heads, department heads, cost centre managers

Provide insightful reporting on the Centre's monthly performance and determine a monthly 'best estimated forecast' of year-end performance. Produce ad hoc analysis

Analyse and review Centre Functions data and provide ad hoc analysis for the Executive Team including trend analysis and key themes.

The role is a mixture of management accounts and business partnering with a small amount of statutory accounting at quarter and half year.

You will be ACA/ACCA/CIMA qualified with experience in a management accountant role or in a role in practice with management accounting experience. The business is a market leader and offers progression opportunities across multiple finance functions in the business.
