The Department requires an experienced and resilient Project Planner with PPM capabilities to support the Programme as it ramps up moving from analysis into delivery.
The role requires a self-starter with strong stakeholder engagement skills able to build and sustain active relationships with colleagues from across the wider EU Exit Programme.

This Government Department is managing a large portfolio which will support the exit of the UK from the European Union by the 31st March 2019.
Description
The Project Planner will be accountable for:
- Building and sustaining the project plan
- Applying planning principles to track and monitor delivery progress
- Monitoring and analysing the delivery plan, reporting progress, slippage and highlighting areas of risks and opportunities
- Identification of trends across the plan, areas of improvement and collaboration
- To be comfortable working in a fast paced environment that has a constant changing landscape impacting the requirement for constant iterations of the delivery plan
- To provide, when required, additional project management tasks that will support the wider delivery
- Contributing to ministerial submissions and wider programme requests for intelligence
- Contributing to delivery workshops
- Knowledge transfer to permanent members of staff.
Profile
- Its is critical that the successful candidate will be a self starter who is able to work under their own initiative, can engage and sustain stakeholder relationships and mindful of delivery pressures across the programme when seeking to draw out information to support the project plan
- A proven track record in creating and managing project plans and dependencies
- Proven experience of managing multiple competing and complex needs, preferably within a political environment
- Proven ability to work flexibly and will be responsive in their approach to delivery, comfortable in working with a constant changing landscape
- Has PPM skills which can be applied and drawn upon where necessary
- Essential - Advanced qualification in Microsoft Project, PRINCE 2, Agile delivery qualifications
