I am recruiting an Interim Payroll Manager to complete a six month contract for a prestigious organisation based in Chester. Reporting to the Head of Finance you will be responsible for leading a small team and managing a busy payroll operation for one of the most successful businesses in Chester.

The chosen candidate will ideally be a CIPP qualified Payroll Manager (or studying towards qualification) who is able to ensure the timely delivery of the monthly payroll for up to 800 employees, while adhering to all the statutory requirements set by HMRC. The ideal candidate will have a hands on and flexible approach to work with good leadership and communication skills.

You will work closely with the Head of Finance to produce budget information as well as providing legislative guidance to senior management to advise on the impact of any changes to legislation. You will ensure the company complies with pension auto-enrolment and liaise with pension actuaries and providers on behalf of all members of the pension schemes.

You will be a proficient user of standard Microsoft packages including Excel and a knowledge of Sage Payroll and Kronos Time and Attendance systems would be desirable but is not essential.
