Located in Preston, this exceptionally approachable and friendly independent firm of Chartered Accountants, is now seeking an experienced Payroll Clerk / Payroll Senior to join their busy and proactive Payroll Compliance Services Team to cover a maternity contract starting November 2018.
Your New Job
As a Payroll Clerk / Payroll Senior you will assist with the daily management of the payroll team, ensuring that the payroll is processed accurately and on time. As the Payroll Clerk / Payroll Senior you will be responsible for ensuring compliance with BACS auditing requirements, answering PAYE queries raised, providing support on Auto-Enrolment whilst processing a portfolio of client payrolls, including high profile clients, in accordance with established departmental procedures.
Your Experience & Our Requirements
The successful applicant should have previous experience of working as Payroll Clerk / Payroll Senior, managing complex high-volume payroll or medium sized bureau management. You will have experience of using Super pay software and BACS system, have a positive solutions focused attitude, with excellent organisational skills, you will be proactive and have strong attention to detail. You should be able to demonstrate a methodical approach to work and an ability to deliver and consultative approach to reviewing systems and implementing new processes and procedures when required. Experience of previously working in an accountancy practice is not essential however would be beneficial.

This is a 12 month Maternity leave contract if successful you will receive a highly competitive salary of up to £26,000 and generous benefits package.
