**Payroll/Finance Support (6 Month Contract)**
THE COMPANY...
Working for an established, non-profit organisation in Leeds as part of the finance team.
YOUR NEW JOB...
The role will be working within a busy office in Leeds and will involve the following duties -
- To input information on payroll administration system in an accurate, efficient and timely manner in compliance with HMRC requirements to operate PAYE in real time (RTI)
- To set each customer up on the system and register them with HMRC as a new employer
- To give customers the Payroll Service monthly deadlines for receiving timesheets and other payroll information and deadlines for receipt of payments for payroll administration
- To carry out all calculations required for administering payroll, including hourly rates, variance in hourly rates, holiday pay, statutory sick pay, statutory maternity and paternity pay, adoption pay, tax, National Insurance, attachment of earnings, pension contributions, redundancy payments, student loans and voluntary deductions
- To respect and maintain customer confidentiality and comply with Data Protection and information sharing protocols, procedures and requirements
- To update customer information and communicate this to other members of the staff team where applicable
- At the end of the payroll period check customer payments made by customers in own case load against customer account information provided by the Leeds CIL Administrator, take any required action and inform the Finance Support Coordinator about any concerns
- To undertake and assist with training as necessary to ensure up to date knowledge, skills and continuous staff development and to ensure that the requirements are met
WHATS ON OFFER…
£8-£10 per hour depending on experience. Immediate start for the right person!
The right person would have 12 months experience in regularly administering payroll. A knowledge of the requirements of disabled people is also desirable.
